Haiku – "Muse" & "Pen"

#1 –
Musing and mulling
The perfect combination…
But pen lies idle

#2 –
A nostalgic muse:
Remembering real pens
Rather than keyboards?

#3 –
Inspiration comes
With a change of perspective.
Pen tries to keep up!

  1. 20 years ago, I had a newspaper editor who taught me to LOVE the red pen… of course this came after 3 solid months of despising HIS red pen. Ah yes, the good old days, when red pens brought out the best in me! <3

    1. I write most of mine on my smart phone, but I often write and doodle some ideas on the corner of whatever paper I have to hand at work… Can be difficult to explain to the boss why your meeting notes have haiku in the margins!

I struggle to write poetry direct onto a keyboard… It feels too neat and perfect from the off, rather than allowing space to grow and evolve and perfect word choice. Different strokes for different folks…

      1. Keyboard strokes or not…I like paper too –easier to see where you’re going and where you’ve been…actually you are so accomplished at writing I think I saw you as Al the Author writing all day…
