Haiku – From Bad to Worse

No empty comforts;
Her wicked lies in my head
Melting my resolve

The space she has left…
Home comforts melt into air
As I head for sin.

Within her black heart,
Only evil. No comfort.
Her mind void of good.

      1. Ha! I was going to re-post my ‘Night Before Christmas’ poem but someone kindly reblogged it for me today so don’t want to do that again tomorrow. I am stuck for a Christmas offering too! πŸ™‚

  1. It was great to see a deeper poet reveal himself. The words carried that feel. You did a fantastic writing job fitting in the 5 words in such a meaningful way. I loved your spreading them throughout the three stanzas in the manner you approached the subject matter. – jk
